12 months ago my dad was referred to Mr Satyadas. He had primary liver cancel and had a liver resection. All went well and Mr S was with dad every step of the way. It was discovered on post op scans, that dad had lymphoma and Mr S operated again. The surgery was successful and dad was sent to Christies for Chemotherapy. All the logistics was done by Mr S quickly and with so much care, which took huge pressure of dad and the family. Within the first meeting with Mr S we knew that he was a, one of a kind. He is caring, explains everything thoroughly, is totally honest and answers all questions in a manner that is amazing. Dad is still under Mr S's care, and through our dark days as a daughter of the strongest man I know, I can honestly say that I don't know how we would have got through if we had not arrived at Mr S's door. There are no words that could ever explain how lucky we are to be under his care. We are so grateful to him and his team. I only hope that if there are any other patients and family members who are struggling to find the right consultant/surgeon then please know from the bottom of my heart Mr Satyadas is your man. He is a amazing. Thanks HS

A very professional skilled surgeon who has a most caring attitude and cares for you as a person. One quickly gains absolute confidence in him. He has/makes time to befriend you, explains in great detail, using the scans on his computer, what is involved in the operation and make you totally comfortable in his care. I unreservedly recommend this surgeon. I was his patient at The Christie Clinic, Manchester.

I was admitted to Manchester Royal Infirmary suffering from severe chest pains, which turned out that my gall bladder had died and gone gangrene and was slowly poisoning my body. I was funtunately placed under the care of Mr. Thomas Satyadas, who explained in great detail what procedures he would undertake during the operation. Contacted my husband whilst at my bedside, so I could explain I was going down for emergency surgery, he then also explained to my husband the planned procedures. He was there by my side as soon as I came out of theatre and again phoned my husband with an update on what had happened. I could not have received better care and attention from him and his team both prior to, during, and after the operation. My recovery was speedy and I can only put this down to the great care and attention I received from the whole NHS team. Mr. Satyadas, checked on my several times a day whilst I was in hospital, answering any questions, always with encouraging attentive reassurance, nothing was too much trouble. He continued to keep in touch by phoning me at home with encouragment and caring support once I was discharged. Thank You just doesn't seem enough gratitude for the great treatment I've received from such a genuine caring gentleman, who is 100% committed to his patients Sylvia Davies

Mr. Satyadas is a genius of geniuses. When my husband was diagnosed with two primary cancers three and a half years ago in June 2012 with pancreatic cancer and liver cancer, we truly thought things could never have been more bleak. Before Thomas could operate, I forget how many scans he underwent both at Christies and Manchester Royal Infirmary and not until he was absolutely 110% satisfied that he could operate, would he undertake this some 12 hour surgery as it ended up. He phoned me at 10pm on the evening of the surgery to say that he had "just finished" (this was when the operation had started that day at 9.30am). This wonderful man was contactable by phone along with his GI nurse at any time prior and post surgery and nothing was too much trouble. He would explain in endless detail about the procedure/s (perhaps a little too much at times!) and he put us completely at ease as much as he could under the circumstances. Now I can say, we only got married 8 weeks ago and without Thomas Satyadas, my now- husband would not be here. Thank you is not enough and other patients reading this who are unfortunately not well, can know they are in the BEST hands of the finest surgeon.
